After starting agility classes in 2017 with her brother's shepherd, Aadra found a passion for working with dogs. She loves the challenges that each dog brings, since none are the same and they all have something different to teach you. With her shepherd being quite reactive, it has taught her a lot about working with your dog’s strengths and advocating for them.
After getting her second dog, she began to shadow puppy classes and is now a full time instructor with Sherwood Barks! Aadra has thousands of hours of experience working with puppies in group classes and private sessions.
Aadra currently has both of her dogs in multiple dog sports such as agility, disc and flyball. Aadra has a BSc degree in mathematical sciences, a BEd in Secondary Education, and is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer.
Aadra has two dogs;
Morten, a German Shepherd
Nora, an Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler.
Amanda has been an animal lover her whole life. Her fondest memories though, are of her summers spent on her grandparent’s farm. There she spent her days trying to ride cows, collecting orphaned animals from the hay fields, taming barn cats and teaching the dogs how to dance.
When she adopted her first dog, a Rottweiler puppy, she knew she had found her soulmate and would need dogs in her life forever. After his passing, she became a foster for a local rescue until “foster failing” with an Old English Sheepdog. Who, despite a rough start to life was always a model citizen and a very good boy. She adopted a Miniature Australian Shepherd in late summer 2022 who has a variety of tricks up her sleeve and is currently training in Agility.
Amanda received her certification in Dog Behaviour and Training Methodology from the Edmonton Humane Society in September 2022, is certified in Pet First Aid, and is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer.
She is currently owned by her Mini Aussie puppy, Sunny and three cats, Gilly, Mabel, and Noodle.
Airan's love for dog agility began in 2012, and he has been hooked ever since. He started as a volunteer at Sherwood Barks, progressed to teaching assistant, and eventually became an instructor in 2022.
He is enthusiastic about developing a solid work and play bond with his dogs. His passion for the sport has led him to compete at the national level and make his 2024 international debut at the IFCS World Agility Championship in France with his middle child Olympus.
Airan has border collies:
Olympus, Cayley, and Dash

Transitioning to grooming three years ago, Jamie specializes in the meticulous care of double-coated breeds.
Recognized by her clientele as the "Corgi Master," Jamie is presently engaged in advanced studies under a prominent show groomer and handler, demonstrating her commitment to continuous professional development.
