Positive Reinforcement, Force Free and Science Based Dog Training
Learn how to solve unwanted behaviors, aggression and fear by teaching an alternate behavior and/or building up confidence slowly via counter conditioning, desensitization and classical and/or operant conditioning. Understand where behavior is coming from and why, learn how to communicate with your dog for a stronger relationship. Learn what motivates your dog and how to fulfill their natural instincts unique to each breed.
We will not be recommending or following any training methods that involve corrections, pain, intimidation or fear. These methods are scientifically proven to be detrimental to your dog's health, well being and bond with you. Aversive training methods have also been proven to increase unwanted behaviors as they do not teach our dogs what we want them to do instead.
Our job is to educate dog owners about the dangers and myths around "dominance", "pack leader" and "alpha" theories. Our training is built on creating a relationship built on trust, respect, admiration and leadership. Not corrections, intimation or pain. In your first session, we will sit down and talk about behaviors you'd like to work on and create a plan for you to follow through with at home! All private sessions are followed up with homework videos and/or detailed training plans.
Each session is 1 hour in length, one on one with a certified trainer. Please fill out our consultation form with as much detail as possible so we can ensure you are matched with the most appropriate person and we can come up with a mini plan ahead of time. Leash reactivity privates require a minimum three sessions being booked in order to set you and your dog up for success.
Note: A non-refundable deposit of $42.00 is required at the time of booking to reserve your booking.
