Do you want to become a Professional Dog Trainer, but don't know where to start?

At Sherwood Barks, we are now offering a PCT-A Prep Course (Professional Canine Trainer - Assessed).

Our team of Professional Dog Trainers have years of experience in training dogs and we are committed to providing a personalized training programs that meet the unique needs of each furry friend. Our PCT-A prep course is designed to teach you the material and content required for writing a successful PCT-A examination, in a classroom style environment. Here is how we do that!

Small Class Size: 8 student maximum

10 Classes (3 hour duration each class) = 30 hours of classroom instruction preparing and teaching you the theories, skills, and knowledge required to successfully pass the PCT-A exam. Click here to view our course content. 

Practice exam questions: testing your knowledge at the end of each class, as well as an overall practice exam on all of the teachings at the end of this course.

Practicum: Access to achieve the 150 hours of shadowing and hands on teaching, recording of your skills in vidoes, and recording of your coaching vidoe's as required by the Pet Professional Guild for your certification. Click here to meet the Instructor, Maegan Rose.

Our full support and guidance in obtaining all of the PCT-A Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be over 21 yrs of age
• Must log at least 130 hours in dog training within the last 18 months
• 20 CEU's
• Agreement of the Guiding Principles
• Completion of the PCT-A online application to write your examination, submit your skills videos, and your coaching videos

Your Investment:

• Classroom PCT-A prep course $1250 (great for students that already have their required hours, and access to clients to record their coaching sessions)
• Classroom PCT-A prep course & Practicum (130 hours working with a variety of dog sizes and breeds, recording your skills videos, and your coaching videos) $1250 + $1000 = $2250

Note: the $45 - $150 proctored examination fee to the PPAB (Pet Professional Accredditation Board) to write your official examination is not included in your above investment, and will be required when the applicant applies to write their official examination, to the PPAB directly, during the examination period.
